Daav from GG3 is always up to report on some cool sales. Still, in the case of Lost Planet 3 taking 50% off its price already, it's not necessarily the same warm feeling of saving money. It's only been two months since its release.

This week's Deal of the Week is Capcom-tastic, though not necessarily fantastic. At the quality end of the scale, you've got Ninja Theory's fabulous DmC: Devil May Cry and assorted DLC packs, time-worn classic Resident Evil 4 HD and decent 3DS hand-me-down Resident Evil: Revelations. At the other end, there's Lost Planet 3. Shudder.

AAG's Martin writes: "Lost Planet 3 is the latest in Capcoms interplanetary third-person shooter franchise. It might be set on the same frozen planet as its predecessors but the game is worlds apart. The franchise has never really caught on in the west, so the reigns for this game were handed over to California-based studio, Spark Unlimited. Capcom has made it obvious that they wanted to steer the franchise in a new direction and skepticism was high concerning this being successful, given Sparks past efforts with games like Turning Point and Legendary being less than worthy titles. Well, I am happy to say that this isnt the case with Lost Planet 3 being their best work to date."

Capcom expects Dead Rising 3, the zombie-centric action coming exclusively to Xbox One, to sell 1.2 million copies.

In addition, the publisher revealed that Lost Planet 3 was outsold by Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. Spark Unlimited's snowbound third-person shooter managed to sell only 300,000 copies, while the fantasy action-RPG moved more than double that with 650,000 units sold worldwide. Just yesterday, Capcom revealed that Resident Evil 5 is the publisher's best-selling game.
